A dark cloak covers us all
in angst and desperate fear.
Oppressive and heavy
it is the weight of the world.
An invisible cloak
unseen to all but a few,
engineered by men
who desire total control.
The cloak covers you,
the cloak covers me
it tells us what to think
it shapes the lives we lead.
The nameless faceless humans,
bastards to a man.
They own all the keys
and they guard all the gates.
As they seek to enslave us
with chains of debt and greed.
That cloak is our fear,
its tailors: the elite.
