At this moment (15:45) I'm listening to Junior give a speech in Florida, the media say Dubya was "issuing rallying cry" but it sounded more like a sick acceptance speech at the Oscars. The audience consisted entirely of sycophants who were cheering his every word very loudly, so he could have stood there and read the shipping forecast and they still would have cheered. I've heard that Dubya's audiences are all hand-picked for their loyal and that he won't make a speech unless he's guaranteed lots of cheering and a standing ovation - he's certainly getting it in Florida. It's really rather nauseating to listen too, I think I'll have to turn it off now...

Just posted an interesting news report that an Arab TV crew found something like 40 bodies of US soldiers in the desert. They say that when they told US forces about it their equipment was smashed and they were told to get out of Iraq... In related news, bodies of 500 US and UK soldiers were found at Jacobabad in Afghanistan. It was supposedly kept secret to avoid damaging the build-up to the Iraq war.

In case anyone is wondering what it's like to be living in Baghdad at the moment, an Iraqi blogger called Salam Pax is maintaining his site pretty regularly. Are the off-spring of our leaders actually standing up to their fascist parents? There are rumours that hyper-hawk Dick Cheney's daughter could be going to Baghdad to become a human shield, talk about picking an appropriate time to rebel against your parents! I hope this rumour is true but I stress it's just a rumour, you have to admit it's a good one though! In other obscure news, a retired Yugoslav army officer has said recently that underground bunkers built for Iraqi President Saddam Hussein are said to be able to resist massive bombardment and those hiding inside could survive for up to six months. Lt. Col. Resad Fazlic should know, he helped build them... It never ceases to amaze me how easily some people have been duped by all the propaganda, conveniently side-stepping any real questions and focussing instead on how "we have to be loyal to the troops" or how "Saddam is such a bad guy who gasses his own people". I'm not being disloyal or unpatriotic but if you actually look at history it's obvious who the real bad-guys are...
