The cost of backing Bush....

In the middle of the closing ceremony at the Commonwealth Games here in Manchester, a speaker thanked the organizers, athletes, volunteers, the Queen and the public all to loud applause.

Not so when he thanked Tony Blair for his support. Loud jeers and booing. Strange, because Manchester is a Labor party stronghold - like most of the industrial North. But despite what our Govt and the press would have you believe, most UK citizens do not support The War Against Terror. (Stick that in your acronym pipe and smoke it.)

In simple terms, Tony Blair has just been shown exactly what the British public think of his fawning to the corrupt, warmongering simpleton currently disgracing the White House. Supporting Bush is damaging Tony Blair immensely. Let's see if tonight opened his eyes.
